Samantha Cimino makes evocative and intuitive work that involves the visual, the etheric, and the embodied. Her multidisciplinary work often explores the roots of cultures from an eco-feminist perspective, connection to the more than human world, lineages of healing and resilience, and reclamation of dynamic and playful self-expression. She has been a visual artist and writer most of her life, painting, drawing, and writing poetry from a young age, and has expanded her practice into embodied art through music, performance, and movement over the last several years.

She has worked in many different mediums throughout her artistic career and has shown at various small galleries and shops. She is the creative director of a quarterly variety show called Surrealist Cabaret that showcases a range of performance art works by local artists, including her own. She has been part of other collaborative performances such as Mia Habib's performance ALL a physical poem of protest, for the Time-Based Art Festival in 2019, and Touch System by Blue McCall in 2022. She is from Maryland and has lived in Portland, Oregon for a decade and a half.
